Emerson: Big Updates

I know...I know!

It has been forever since I have given any updates so bear with me...

A lot has been going on since the last time I updated everyone. After our mini vacation to Lakeside, things got kind of crazy for Mommy, Daddy and I. The first thing was my 2nd birthday. It was great. Mommy and Daddy surprised me with a new blinged out tricycle (pictures to come). Then they had a party for me with all of my favorite people (grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends). It was a hot day so Mommy and Daddy set up my pools so we could splash a round and cool down. The food was great. We had grilled pizza's, brownie bears, cookies and homemade icecream. If that wasn't fun enough, we headed to the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball game after the party. They won and there were fireworks after the game. (No matter what anyone says, I choose to believe the fireworks were to celebrate my birthday!)

A couple days after my party (while Mommy was traveling for work), we got an offer on our house. All of the sudden, we had a month to pack and move (not to mention that we were also getting ready to go on vacation). Somehow we made it all happen. We went to Lakeside at the end of July to vacation with family. The weather was hot, but that made it even more fun at the beach. The water was warm and the waves were fun to jump in. Hot weather also meant that I got have icecream a couple time which was a great treat. Besides having fun and eating treats (like the icecream and donuts), I got to see a bunch of people that I don't get to see very often (realtives from Georgia and Ohio...and of course my lovely GG). I even got to meet some new cousins (Ava and Jacob). As always, the week went by fast, but it was fun. We came home...kind of...When we got back to Fort Wayne, we moved into Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mommy and Daddy spent that week packing and moving stuff because our house was sold.

That kind of brings us to the present. We have been living at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple of weeks now. It has been awesome! I love spending time with my Grandma and Grandpa, getting to see them every morning and again every night. I have been very busy with Grandma and Grandpa playing with puzzels, checkers, playing cards and reading books. It is funny how we can turn anything into a fun game!

Tomorrow, though, things are going to be changing again. Mommy and Daddy are buying a new house tomorrow. While I am sad about not living with Grandma and Grandpa anymore, I am excited about our new house. I have a big new room and lots of space to play in. I forgot to mention this earlier, but I am no longer in my crib. I am in a big girl bed now. I can't wait to see how it looks in my new room!
