Mini Lakeside Vacation!

For Father's Day weekend, we decided to take a mini vacation and head to Lakeside.  Mommy made reservations at Hotel Lakeside for Saturday night.  We got up Saturday morning, ran a couple of errands and then we were on our way.  The drive was nice (and familar since I have made it a couple times in my short life:)) and we stopped in Bowling Green at McDonalds for lunch (Yummy...this is one of the few times that I actually have McDonalds).  After lunch, we continued on our drive and made it to Lakeside around 1:30.  It was too early to get into our room so we decided to take a nice walk.  We went down on the dock and it was beautiful.  The sun was shining, people were swimming in the water, and there were a bunch of boats in the lake.  After the dock, we went to my favorite place...the park.  I got to swing and go down the slides.  We were there for quite a while.  After the park, we went and checked into the hotel.  Our room was nice.  It was on the 2nd floor and looked out over the street so I could watch people heading to Sloopy's for dinner or to the dock to swim.  After we got settled in the hotel, we decided to head back out (of course we went back out, you don't sit around in a hotel room when you're at Lakeside!).  We walked around a little more, went into the shops (bought me a shirt and bought Mommy some floppies) and then went to the classic car show on the lawn of the hotel.  Then it was dinner time.  We went to Sloopy's and had pizza...YUMMY!  After dinner, we played golf, got ice cream and then went to the show at the Auditorium.  It was a group that played music from some of Daddy's favorite movies like Star Wars and Jurassic Park.  It was fun to listen to the music, but I got tired and fell asleep before it was over.  On Sunday, we got up and had Hole in One donuts (they were even better than I imagined!).  After breakfast we went back to the park and played for a while, went on a nice long walk and then rented a golf cart so we could drive around Lakeside and look at all the cottages that Mommy has stayed in since she was a little girl like me.  By this time, I was getting hungry so we went back to Sloopy's for lunch and I had the messiest (and yummiest) PB&J sandwich.  After lunch it was time to head home, but not before making a brief pitstop at Cheesehaven!  All in all it was a great weekend and I didn't want to leave, but in less than 4 weeks we will be heading back and I can't wait to see everyone!

Me and my Daddy sitting on a bench by the water!
Chillin in a Ford from the 1930's...I think I'd look good driving this when I turn 16 Daddy!
 Mmmmmmm...donuts!
 Playing some miniature golf.
Look at that...a hole in one
 Me and my pretty Mommy.
Pooped after a fun day at Lakeside.
I imagine I will be spending a lot of time in this swing in a couple of weeks.
Messy but sooooo yummy!
