As you may have seen already, I have been busy. I had my check up with the Dr. on Wednesday last week. I am 28.5 in tall (25th percentile) and 19lbs 7oz (25th percentile). The Dr. says that I am petite...whatever that means. I had to get 3 shots in my leg and it hurt, but I am a trooper. I only cried for a couple minutes so that Mommy and Daddy knew I didn't like it. Thursday was my 1st birthday. I had a great day. I played with Mommy and Daddy in the morning before they went to work. Then Grandma picked me up from Cindy's house early and we got to spend the afternoon together. Daddy came and picked me up and we met up with Mommy for dinner. After dinner, we went home and I got to open my present from Mommy and Daddy. I got a really cool shopping cart that makes sounds and plays music when I push it.
On Saturday, we had a party at Grandma and Grandpa's house. All of my favorite people were there (Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Stephie, Aunt Kristin, Uncle Dan, Grandpa Rich, Grandma Alice, Uncle Rick, Aunt Ashley, Daddy's friend Todd and Marjorie and Jennifer and Sophie - my best buddy). Daddy made lunch on the grill. I had pasta salad, a hotdog and some cheese. Then I got to open presents. I got so much cool stuff! I got a power wheels from Uncle Dan, lots of clothes and toys, a rocking horse from Grandpa Rich and Grandma Alice, and even my own beach bag and beach towel with my name on them from Sophie. I even heard Mommy say something about money for college although I don't really know what that means. After presents, it was time for cupcakes. Mommy made them and they were delicious. I had fun eating/making a mess of it!!!
After my party and a nap we went to the pool. We went back to the pool on Sunday too. I love being in the water. Sunday night (the 4th of July), Mommy, Daddy and I went to a Tin Caps baseball game. We met up with a bunch of friends there. It was really hot but fun. Mommy bought me a really pretty dress to wear. We watched the game, but I fell asleep before the fireworks started. Oh well, I will try and stay awake for them next year!
All in all, it was a great weekend, but the best part was being with Mommy and Daddy. I even got an extra day with Mommy on Monday because she didn't have to work!!!
