The Great Flood of 2010!

I know, I know...I have not updated in a while, but it has been crazy around our house! Last week, Mommy and Daddy woke up in the middle of the night and there was water all over the house. I personally didn't see what the big deal was...it was kind of like my house was a giant pool, but what do I know, I'm just a baby! Anyway, it worked out great for me because we got to stay with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Dan for 4 days. That's right...I said 4 days! It was so much fun. We are now back home, but the house looks a little different to me than when we left on Thursday. Everything is moved around, I can't find my toys, and something is not right with the kitchen floor I love to crawl on so much. Oh well, Mommy assured me that things would be back to normal before long. Enough about the "flood" in our house...let's talk more about me!

The big news is that I turn 1 tomorrow! I am going to the Dr. today for my check-up, so wish me luck with my shots! Mommy and Daddy are throwing me a birthday party on Saturday, but I guess it is going to be at Grandma and Grandpa's house since ours is in flood recovery mode. I overheard Mommy talking about presents and cupcakes. I am not sure what cupcakes are but they definitely sound interesting. I will let you know more after my party. I definitely remember what presents are from Christmas and am really excited to play with all the paper and boxes:)

Let's see...what else is new...

As I said, I turn 1 tomorrow. I am growing so big. Here are some of the things that I have been up to.

• I love to eat "big people" food, expecially grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Although, I must say that I enjoyed the chicken from Mommy and Daddy's fajitas last night...yum yum!
• I have started to takes some steps on my own, but I'm not quite sure about it. I only like to take about 5 steps in between furniture right now, but watch out Mommy and Daddy, I'll be running around before you know it.
• I am learning how to crawl up the steps...although, Mommy and Daddy don't seem to be so impressed by it. they think I am going to get hurt or something.
• Grandma taught me how to wave and I love to wave at everybody. I just think it is polite!
• I have a couple more teeth coming in, but they are being stubborn, so I will let you know once they pop through.
• Oh yeah...did I mention that my hair is finally coming in! It is blond and has some curls, so Mommy is really happy.
