Well, it's hard to believe, but summer is already half over. I know I continue to be a bit remiss in updating my blog, but I have just been so busy this year. Let's see...where do I begin...
WINTER
Yummy...snow

SPRING
Spring came and it warmed up a little. This year, we didn't go anywhere for Spring Break because Mommy, Aunt Kristin, Aunt Stephanie and Grandma went to Spain. I missed them all so much, especially Mommy, but they had a great time and brought me back presents. Daddy also surprised me while Mommy was gone and took me and Grandpa to see Disney on Ice. It was so neat to see all my favorite Disney stars in Fort Wayne ice skating! Besides Disney on Ice, Mommy, Daddy and I have enjoyed taking walks in our neighborhood and going to the Zoo with some of my favorite people.

SUMMER
Daddy finished the school year and summer came. We are finally having some really nice warm weather (although we have had a lot of rain...more to come on this). This summer has already been a crazy busy one. Mommy's birthday always kicks off our summer and this year was no different. Aunt Kristin came to town and we all went to dinner at one of Mommy's favorite restaurants (Cork n Cleaver). Over Mommy's birthday weekend, we also had really nice weather and went to Aunt Stephanie's pool for the day. One of my highlights of the summer besides being in the pool was going to Vacation Bible School. It was so cool to go to school, sing songs, play with my friends and learn about Jesus! One of the gifts we got was CD of all the music that I learned. I have really enjoyed teaching the songs and dance moves to Mommy and Daddy on our car trips so far this summer.

Something new I started doing this year...jumping off the side and going under water.

So...back to my comment on the rain...this Spring, our basement flooded. Needless to say, a lot of stuff got wet, including a lot of my toys, and the walls and carpet needed replaced. Mommy and Daddy hired Rudy to take care of that work. While he was working on redoing the basement, we had a couple other major rain storms that caused water to come in through the window. This meant that there were several nights where Mommy and Daddy (along with some help from our neighbors) were outside in the pouring rain trying to cover up the window well to keep the water out. The good news is that the basement is all done now, and the problem with the window well has been fixed (at least as far as we know...the drain has been unclogged and the gutter has been fixed).
MY BIRTHDAY
Back to more about me and my summer...As I'm sure you all remember, my birthday is in the summer, July 1st to be exact. This year, Mommy and I decided I would have a Princess Party...which makes sense since I love princesses! My friends came over on a Friday night and we had the best time. We had pizza, watched Sofia the First, had a dance party in the new basement, opened presents and had cake and icecream. I had the best time. I am already starting to think about what I want to do next year for my birthday.

After my Princess Party, my birthday celebration continued. We went to Ohio for my Uncle Jim's wedding and went out for a special lunch with GG to celebrate. Best part about the lunch...my ice cream!!!!!
Look at all that whipped cream
Almost done
After the wedding, we headed back home and to my surprise, Uncle Kevin came to town. For my birthday, he and Daddy decided to build me a swing set. I have already enjoyed it a bunch and am expecting to spend many more hours on it in the future.
Right after my birthday comes the 4th of July. This year it was pretty low key for us. We hung out at home, went to lunch, did a little shopping and then played outside with my pool. At night, my friends came out and we did sparklers, had ice cream cones and watched some fireworks in the neighborhood. Later in the weekend, we went to a Tincaps games with my neighbors (Mike, Staci, Taylor and Ryne).
Delish!

Well, that pretty much brings us up to the present. We just got back from a quick trip to Georgia for Mommy's cousin Olivia's wedding. It was a long car ride, but I had so much fun with all my cousins.

Now that we are home for a couple days, we are getting ready for our summer vacation to Lakeside. I am getting so excited I can already taste the donuts, pizza and ice cream and I can already picture myself swinging and sliding at the park and playing in the sand and water at the beach. I will try to be more timely in getting an update up on the blog after our trip.
Until then...
